i have to enter dates before these entries and i just realized how fast this year went by. maybe it was all the nursing school, but i dont remember a fucking thing from this year. when did launch radical happen? more importantly, is anyone having a new years party?
i got on here to write something specific, but i got side tracked and i cant remember now. has anyone seen the cleveland video "no regrets"? my buddy danny forkin and his friends made it. its a really good local video. these kids are young and you can easily tell what aspect of skateboarding they\'re influenced by, and you\'ll be pleased that it\'s cool skateboarding. the spots, music, and editing are all nice and if you get a chance to check it out i strongly suggest it. guffey got the last part and it\'s pretty fucking slammin\'. only complaint, too many pairs of krew reynolds cords, but what else is new?
the other video i recently saw was the 1031 video. mother fuckin\' chad knight\'s part was pretty crazy. he still rocks shorts and looks like line-backer, but dude got snaps. i think the video is entirely in black and white which might sound cool if you\'re a total idiot, but it sort of makes it boring. not that it\'s a boring video, because it\'s not. it\'s fun to watch and drew\'s part is aweseome. friends section has a bunch of local bros that you know including paco, jeff b, and myself. if you\'ve got a chance to see it obviously do so, and if not at least go to their website and read the mission statement. "NO RULES!! " it\'s a little sad.
so..anybody got anything else going on? i think hanna\'s wife is pregnant, or maybe i heard wrong. i havent talked to him in while. if so, congratulations buddy. hanna is one of my most legit friends and i miss him.
im off to philly tomorrow. have you seen the plans for the skatepark there? as if philly could get more awesomer.

You guys want to see a good shop video? Check out my friends in the new Cowtown Skateshop video. It\'s a shop in Phoenix and I guess I really don\'t know how you\'d get it. But if you just happen to be out there stop in and get a copy of "Get On the Good Foot."
And I\'m sure you\'re all getting excited for the free beer premiere of "Park Footy Don\'t Count," Steve D\'s best creation since his daughter. I know it\'s sarcasm but they\'re most certainly right, park footage doesn\'t count (tranny stuff excluded). Count for what anyway? Points towards an XBox 360?
I still don\'t know what the cost of the event is so I\'m assuming it\'s free. Go to Pittskate to see the flyer with a bunch of words on it that are far too small to actually read. What til you see this vid. It\'s great. Remember what I said a long time ago..Repine and Luke got the best parts.

So that\'s what\'s been up with me. If I ever looked at a skate mag. I\'d talk about some news. Um..I saw the newest Transworld video, A Time to Shine, and it\'s super good. I hear it\'s the last one. I think skating is getting to the point where it doesn\'t suck anymore. I mean there is definitely parts that are still horrible but for the most part it\'s doing ok. Maybe not. I\'m not really involved. From my desk in Pennsylvania it\'s not too bad.
I heard Cardiel is skating again. That\'s a sign that skating is getting back to getting back to getting good. Get me?
I was just in the shop and they\'ve got all sorts of new shit. New complete Supra line in and they\'re really good lookin\'. They\'ve got a thin feel your board shoe, a beefier gap shoe (EE) and some wild shit for the club. Anyway, they\'re in and they\'re gonna go fast. I\'m not one to be a salesman but I do really like these shoes.
Can we get somebody to take Chrish off the fucking team page? Somebody email me some codes and shit so I can update the team page. It needs it and I\'d be super awesome at it. I\'ll set it up so no matter what person you click on it will go to my page. I got all kinds of clips to put up. This is just like me. I disappear for two months and come back needing immediate results.

It\'s easy to end up in every corner of the city when you\'re out skating. So..
AM: eat at the pretzel shop, veggie pizza and ice water. Cost-$1
Stop by Whole Foods and eat whatever samples they have out, don\'t be afraid to inquire about a product because they will just give you the whole box for free. Cost-$0
Cup of coffee from convenient mart. Cost-$1. If you\'re a real dirt bag you can save the cup and fill it up all day at every store in town. There\'s a place in Squirrel Hill called Charles Speigel. It\'s an upscale men\'s wear store and they\'ve got coffee in the back for free.
Afternoon: Two bannanas from any grocery store. Cost-like 20 cents.
This is probably around happy hour and Pittsburgh has happy hours like no other. You can probably find a place with a decent 16oz draft for a buck. Or, if you can tolerate all the shitheads, go to Oakland and chill on 25 cent drafts at that one place by the Atwood lot. They\'re small but you won\'t spend more than a dollar.
Skate some more and blah blah blah. If you\'re on the Northside you can go by The Mattress Factory. It\'s the best museum in the city and a perfect place to take a girl. When you go in don\'t even walk up to the secretary because she\'ll charge you. It\'s actually a donation museum, so walk on by. If you feel really bad you can say you\'re going in the store then just get on the elevator.
I don\'t know of anywhere to eat or drink on the Northside. You can probably get a good deal on heroin though.
Evening: Tram\'s Kitchen in Bloomfield. Get the lemon grass tofu. Perfect size meal and you get to be treated shitty by a one armed Vietnamese man. Cost:$5 with tip.
After that just cruise up the street to the art galleries. Weekends are openings with free booze and usually food. If it\'s lame go to Gratziano\'s and get a 6 pack of Pabst pounders for $3.99.
I\'d say that\'s a full day and we\'re at a grand total of...$12.19 (Unless you are in fact a smack head).
Don\'t forget about Steve D\'s video premiere at the end of the month. It\'s at Blank and there is free beer. Not sure about the cost to get in.

I\'m sure by now everyone has seen the Krooked Kronichles. Well, what do you think? I\'ve been getting mixed reviews. I\'ve got it and I think it\'s a great video. To the older heads, the Gonz can do no wrong. It\'s fun to watch and it makes you want to skate.
Most often I hear people complain about the music? But it\'s fucking Krooked. What were you expecting? Jay-Z and Bloc Party?
The bonus disc alone is worth the price. The flow and international sections are awesome. And there is a section with a bunch of old Gonz footage that I\'m sure every kid under the age of 18 saw and said "I still don\'t know what the big deal is."
Get to the shop and pick one up. It\'s worth it.
I started going through about a dozen tapes from way back. Like 8 years ago. This is going to be embarrassing. Hopefully I\'ll have enough to edit it to a song or two. I\'ll call it \'Wiggers With Attitudes" or something.

Contests are stupid. And if you\'re really good at them you\'re stupid. Regardless of those commonly known facts, there is a contest this Sat. at Mr. Small\'s park/theater/fun house/excitement factory. There\'s also a BMX demo and contest, so get ready for the AC/DC mall crowd. And there\'s a rollerskating /blading demo and contest. Can you believe people still take that shit seriously? Oh, did I ever mention how the day we took the ferry to Staten Island there was a rollerblading competition over there? Well there was and there was about 75 rollerbladers on the ferry with us. I felt like I was back at the old Shady again.
The skateboard competition is the last of them and you have to go at like fucking 7am to register. So I won\'t be entering. Before the skate comp. Mike V and some other unidentified pros will be doing a demo, officially latering this event. I doubt they\'re friends but I really hope Tyrone Olson is there.
One of my friends loves Mike V. Fuck, who is it? Well you\'re an idiot.
I\'m just kidding. I\'m not trying to hate on this because it sounds fun. It\'s free to come watch. It\'s free to support the local scene or whatever. And it\'s free to BYOB and make it all way more entertaining. See you there.

I came back to the apt. from Brooklyn with a giant wrench last night. Well, first we went to this bar in Williamsburg that had 32 ounce budweissers in giant stryofoam cups for $3.50. So after four of those I found a giant wrench in the subway. It\'s bigger than any wrench any of you have ever seen. How the hell am I going to fit that in my book bag?
Skating in the city is good as always. It\'s Chrish\'s first time here and he\'s got some really good shit. Me, you ask. I\'ve got one trick worth using. Who cares about the skating stuff. I wish I could remember whatever I\'ve been laughing at the past couple of days. But I can\'t. So this post is really stupid. Um..the first subway I got Chrish in four treky type kids with glasses and pocket protectors walked by and Chrish said "Beat it nerds."That\'s all I got.

I\'m off to NYC today with Chrish to meet filmer buddy J.Hill for some skating, filming, drinking, bro\'ing, and blowing it.
I know J.H. has had some interesting shit happening to him since he left Austin a couple weeks ago, and he\'s a writer so I\'ll let him explain it.
If had any idea how to update this site and put clips of the trip up I would. But I can\'t. So you\'ll have to take my word for it. And keep checking my flickr account for photos.

It\'s 8am and I was just woken up by a phone call from Chrish. Chrish
never ever calls this early. The first thing I thought was that was
too drunk to drive home from somewhere or he needed a ride from the
police station or something.
Well he is drunk and he does need a ride. But he needs a ride to the
Youngstown double set. He and two others have been up all night
drinking. He made a bet with one of them that he could tre flip the
double set before he went to sleep today. Now I\'m on my way to pick
them up. I\'ll get back to you with the results.

Yeah, I didn\'t post because of 666. I was too busy raising hell and performing rituals that involved babies and puppies. Is it still concidered pedophelia if it\'s a baby? Because I think there\'s very little chance that they\'ll ever remember it.
It\'s really nice out now. Has everyone been skateboarding? Go ahead..nod. Nobody is around to poke fun. Are all the boys and girls geared up for Go Skateboarding Day? No work! No school! Only Skateboarding!!!
And you know where I\'ll be? In school, because I live in the real fucking world and I can\'t just take off because somebody made play day on a Tuesday. For holidays such as this one (not that it\'s a holiday, but I don\'t know what else to call it) they shouldn\'t be on specific dates. It should just be one of those times where it\'s the last Saturday or June of some shit. That probably takes away from the "fuck everyday shit to skate" mentality of it all, but it\'d make things work out for me. All about me, don\'t forget.
So other than skateboarders being out and about, the critters have been too. You know..critters. Little squirrels, bunnies, deer...critters. And they\'re in my house. In one afternoon I came down to a sparrow smacking itself against my living room window, then within two hours a bat came flying in circling around my head. I got the bird no problem, but the bat has radar. It was way too smart for my senseless pillow whailing. Later that day I hear somebody screaming so I knew they\'d found it. Or it found them. Again it was circling and again I couldn\'t get it. I really wasn\'t trying to kill it. Just knock it down so I could get it out of the house. So it got away again. The next day we spotted it sleeping upside down on a screen. I got a box and trapped it. It started squeeling and tweaking out. It was pretty intense. I took it outside to let it go and it wouldn\'t even try to escape. It was sunny out so it just freaked in my lawn, like bending all around and sort of shredding with it\'s mouth. Then I put it back in the box and it started biting it and getting all gnarly. I don\'t know. I put it under a wood pile and pretty much forgot about it. I think that\'s the closest encounter I\'ve ever had to meeting a vampire.
Three days later I came home to two baby raccoons in my lawn. They weren\'t even afraid. They were awesome, but I\'m pretty sure their mom was dead because she wasn\'t with them. FYI, baby raccoons don\'t eat roast beef.
The wood pile is out by our garden, and I was out there picking some radishes. Whoa, what an awesome word. Rad-ish\'s. "That trick was sketchy but it was still rad-ish." Anyway, I\'m out there and my neighbor comes up to me. This lady has never in her life spoken to me. It\'s a family of terrorists. You know, Indian people. Vrrrr. Wait, is that further east or not far enough? Well she comes up to me and says "My car wheel is stuck. Do you know how to fix it?" Only she said it with way more terror. Being the good neighbor I went over thinking "Ok, this is it. There\'s a fucking bomb in this and it\'s over for me. The Indian government wants me dead for sure." It was just that thing where you turn your steering wheel too far when the car is off and it locks up. So you have to turn it a bit then turn the key. I did it and she\'s like "Wow. Like magic!" Yes, exactly like magic. I am magical. It was really sweet and cute. I showed her how to do it so she can be magical.
And I\'m just kidding about the terrorism shit. I hate that I feel obligated to write that. If you don\'t realize that or even worse, agree, then you\'re fucked and I don\'t know how you found this page. On the other hand, fuck being overly PC. That is possibly even more annoying. If someone is mad you can make fun of white people. Like all those redneck jokes or jokes about how white people can\'t dance. "You might be a redneck if...." Yeah, you might be a redneck if you\'re watching that fucking comedian. Where am I going with all this?
The Indian family is so awesome. They had a party and invited my parents. So they go over and their whole family is vegan so they had all this awesome food. My mom told them that they had a son who was vegetarian and this little old grandmother came over and brought me food. She kissed my hands and told me how I was living a wonderful life because of my eating habits. I serioulsy thought she was going to bow. Which would of been bad because she would have kneeled down right on my suede Lakai\'s. Vrrrrr.
Oh damn, and I almost forgot about Big Ben! Not that anyone still wants to hear about it. Can you imagine being the lady who hit him? I bet her husband fucking divorced her. And if there was a way to measure it, I bet over 3/4\'s of the people in Pittsburgh cried that day.

Launch Radical DVDs are in shops around Pittsburgh. HBS, Blank, Bloomfield Shop, and One Up all have a limited supply so go get one. Also available on Blackhole\'s online shop and some random places in Ohio. Like I said it\'s a liimited supply but I\'ll be getting more in this week or next.
Filming has already begun on something new. I don\'t know what, why or who all will have parts but Chrish and I will. Chrish has already got a hell of start on things. Seriously, the drunk little shit is stacking some really good footage. He only gets tricks on days that he\'s hung over and he has had a couple cocktails before he leaves the house.
I\'m watching that movie Jarhead and it\'s ridiculously corny. Some director just took his favorite parts of older better war movies and reshot them for this one. That old 80\'s song "everybody dance now!!" is in it. And instead of an awesome believable hard ass staff sergeant they got Jamie Foxx. What a fucking pussy.
